ברוכים הבאים

On behalf of the program committee, CCAR leaders and staff, we welcome you to Philadelphia and CCAR’s 126th Annual Convention.

Welcome to Philadelphia and the 126th Annual CCAR Convention!

We are thrilled that you are here and look forward to an incredible few days filled with sparks of learning, inspiration, and renewal! We are excited for the incredible presenters and teachers at this 126th Convention of the CCAR, as well as excited to participate in a “hands on” social justice project. From Torah lishmah, social justice, professional development, to spirituality, there is so much potential to take away from this gathering!!

This year, our program is laid out with the idea that many of us may want to focus our time in specific areas. Therefore, we have created a “track system” with regard to our workshops. Throughout these days that we will share, we challenge you to engage with a specific track or to attend workshops, no matter the track, that spark your interest. Our hope is that with the many wonderful workshops and speakers, your personal rabbinate will be re-ignited and that you will take home with you “sparks” of inspiration—to help with the work that you do.

During our many hafsakot, we invite you to visit the exhibit area. Sit down for a cup of coffee with friends. Continue a conversation that started in a workshop. Meet a CCAR board member.

We also encourage you to step outside of the hotel and enjoy the beautiful, historic city that is Philadelphia! Whether you run up America’s most famous steps, visit the Liberty Bell, or choose to see the many beautiful murals that adorn this city’s buildings, we are excited to for you to experience the richness of this city.

Thank you for being here. Please come up and say hi or introduce yourself! Our hope is that this Convention truly will “Spark New Ideas, Re-ignite Your Rabbinate.”

L’shalom,
