I am and have been for the past five years the rabbi of Congregation Ner Tamid of Marietta, GA. About two or more years ago we joined the URJ. I serve part-time but for the purposes of your records I would just say rabbi.
I have been married to Marilyn Slomovitz Liebschutz for 54 years. We have four children and seven grandchildren.
I have a D. Min. degree (a Doctor of Ministry degree in Counseling) from Boston University. In addition to a number of pulpits over the years, I served for eight years as the Rabbi and Director of the Religion Department of the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington before retiring from the full-time rabbinate.
I was President of the Greater Carolinas Association of Rabbis in the early 1990’s and a former board member and membership chairman of the National Association of Jewish Chaplains.
