Rabbi Cassi Kail was ordained in May 2011. While at Hebrew Union College, she co-founded a vibrant minyan for 20s and 30s called “The Wandering Jews of Astoria,” and was a coordinator of the HUC soup kitchen. Additionally, she served as Rabbinic Intern for the Rabbinic Cabinet, Student Rabbi at Temple Beth HaSholom in Williamsport, PA, and Temple Israel in Uniontown, PA, and as student chaplain at Jewish Home Lifecare in NYC.
Since 2011, Rabbi Cassi Kail has been blessed to serve Temple Emanu-El, a 140 family congregation in Utica, NY. She is a board member for Utica’s Jewish Community Center, and in 2014, she was elected co-chair of the Interfaith Coalition of Greater Utica.
Rabbi Kail enjoys hiking, playing guitar, and baking. She lives in New Hartford, NY with her husband Joshua and their children Noam and Talia.
