Rabbi Leah Cohen is the Executive Director and Senior Jewish Chaplain of Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale. She received her Bachelor’s in Arts in International Studies,cum laude, from American University in 1982, and earned a Masters in International Management from American Graduate School of International Management in 1994. She completed her Masters in Hebrew Letters in 1998 and was ordained from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 2000. Currently she is pursuing her Doctorate in Ministry and anticipates receiving her degree in 2015. Prior to becoming a rabbi, she worked in the healthcare industry in marketing and strategic planning. She has one daughter, Eliana, who is a sophomore at Swarthmore College.
