Rabbi Lucy Dinner serves as Senior Rabbi of Temple Beth Or in Raleigh, North Carolina. Rabbi Dinner’s commitment to social justice infuses her involvement in local, national, and international initiatives. In the Raleigh community Rabbi Dinner has been active in many initiatives including the Forward Together Moral Movement, the Urban Ministries advisory board, and the Triangle MLK Committee. She has also served on the ARZA Board, the URJ Committee on the Jewish Family, the Rabbinic Mentoring Committee, the CCAR Committee on Resolutions, and CCAR Nominations Committee. Dinner is on the Executive Board of the international non-profit Stop Hunger Now. She leads Fein Award winning Tzedek trips to Guatemala with Nueva Generacion. Rabbi Dinner is a master teacher in the Melton Adult Education Initiative and lectures at Triangle area universities and in interfaith settings. Her Torah commentary have been published in The Women’s Torah Commentary and the URJ’s Ten Minutes of Torah.
