Michael is the newly appointed Executive Director of the Reform Pension Board, having just taken on the role in January 2015. Prior to the joining the RPB, from 2009 to December 2014, he was Executive Director of Congregation Rodeph Sholom in New York City. During that time, he served as a Board member of the National Association for Temple Administration (NATA) and had served on the Reform Pension Board since 2011 representing NATA. He was also an RPB ex-officio trustee from 2005 to 2009 representing the Union for Reform Judaism while serving as its Chief Administrative Officer. Prior to joining the Union, Michael had a long career in consulting and finance. He earned his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business in 1994 and his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University at Albany – SUNY in 1989. He lives in Rye Brook, NY with his wife Shara and two daughters, Rebecca and Abigail, and calls Community Synagogue of Rye his spiritual home.
