Dr. Susan Klugman is the Medical Director for the Program for Jewish Genetic Health of Yeshiva University/Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Einstein). She has served as the Director of the Division of Reproductive Genetics at Einstein and Montefiore Medical Center since 2008.
Susan, board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology, and genetics, received her medical degree from New York University in 1988 after completing her undergraduate studies in Biometry and Statistics at Cornell University. She then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Einstein and Montefiore Medical Center. In 1993, she founded the Larchmont Women’s Center, a faculty practice office and remained its medical director until she started her genetics residency. In 2004, she completed this second residency in medical genetics at Einstein/Montefiore.
Susan is a Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health at Einstein and is a member of its Faculty Senate, and serves on the Admissions Committe, the Graduate Medical Education Committee, the Cancer Committe and Reproductive Tissue Bank Committee. Susan is committed to teaching genetics to all learners. She is widely published and has lectured to many Jewish and secular organizations over the past two decades on various topics pertaining to women’s health and cancer genetics. She has participated in national clinical trials and national genetic education and policy committees.
