Yann Boissière is the rabbi of the Movement for Liberal Judaism in France (MJLF, Paris). He received his ordination at the Abraham Geiger Kolleg in Berlin in 2011. He is a specialist in the history of liberal Judaism in Europe and in the philosophy of Judaism.
He is a regular collaborator of numerous reviews and intervenes frequently in the médias on questions related to Judaism.
He has co-translated two books of Yeshayahu Leibowitz : “Corps et Esprit, le problème psycho-physique” (“The Mind-Body Problem”, Paris, 2010) ; and “Les Fondements du judaïsme. Conversations sur les « Pirquey Avot »”, (“The Foundations of Judaism – Conversations on the “Pirqey Avot””, Paris, 2007. He has also written several entries for the “Dictionnaire du Judaïsme français depuis 1944” (J. Leselbaum, A. Spire, ed., Paris, 2013).
